Towing capacity depends on the cargo, vehicle position, and the number of passengers. Within the F-150 Hybrid's powertrain, the truck can tow a maximum of 12,700 lbs. The F-150 Hybrid has an aluminum-alloy body and bed, giving it the capability of an available payload of 3,325 pounds.

While over 200 pounds heavier than the standard F-150, the Hybrid uses more parts and ways to move. The 2022 Hybrid can reach 60 mph in less than six seconds, making it one of the fastest modern F-150s on the market. The motor changes from gas to electric without a change in speed or acceleration. At low speeds and cruising, the truck switches to efficient electricity, while it may turn over to gas for higher speed or payload pulling. The Hybrid scores a 24 mpg rating for a combined average between the highway and city driving.

One of the most convenient developments of the Hybrid is the Pro Power Onboard. This feature is a model-exclusive addition that allows your Ford to become a power generator when parked. Because the Ford F-150 Hybrid has the PowerBoost engine, this generator can produce up to 7.2kW of transferrable power. This is for the full-size class of the truck only. The generator can open spaces for up to four available outlets, capable of powering devices for many hours before needing a recharge. 

Another good aspect of owning an F-150 Hybrid is Ford BlueCruise. This highway cruise control tool allows you to drive hands-free. With the addition of Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, your truck can maintain its speed on the highway without needing interaction. It quickly exits cruise control mode when you change the speed. The BlueCruise software understands how to center your truck in the lane so you can drive confidently on the highway. It also has a sign recognition feature that allows it to always adhere to the speed limit as you travel.

The Ford F-150 Hybrid also comes equipped with a driver-facing camera to help ensure you're keeping your eyes on the highway. If the camera senses you're looking away for a prolonged period, it can send a reminder on your dashboard to help regain your attention. The newest Hybrid also comes with a road map indicating which routes are safe to drive on using BlueCruise. More than 130,000 miles of highway are available for BlueCruise navigation.
