It's time for another edition of #MeetUsMonday at Sioux Falls Ford!

This week, we'd like you to meet John Malone, one of our senior sales consultants here in Sioux Falls.

Question 1: How long have you worked here? 

John: This year is my 25th year with Sioux Falls Ford. I actually started working at the dealership before it was sold and renamed to "Sioux Falls Ford."

Question 2: What is the best part of your role at the dealership?

John: I would have to say that meeting people is the best part of my job. I also enjoy seeing my customers leave the store happy. That's important to me.

Question 3: Why is Sioux Falls Ford so nice?

John: We have a hassle-free, no-negotiating environment. Everyone – even our family and friends – gets the same price. This Best Price philosophy allows us to spend more time learning about our customers' needs and showing them our vehicles, rather than spending that time negotiating prices. [Showing the Best Price up front] is great for our customers and for our staff.

Question 4: What are the biggest changes you've seen throughout the last 25 years?

John: The products have changed tremendously. Now nearly all of our new Fords have the Microsoft SYNC systems, which are great. The engines are entirely different, too. There are no carburetors or spark plugs to deal with. It's all about the electronics now, including the fuel injection. The technology is moving toward beter fuel efficiency. The lifespan of these vehicles is also much better. When I started in 1991, most vehicles would make it to about 70,000 miles before they would konk out. Now, it's nothing to see 200,000 miles on the newer models

Question 5: What what do you drive?

John: I have a Lincoln MKS and I've also had a Ford Edge. Both are great vehicles.

Question 6: Where are you from?

John: I'm originally from Chicago, and I moved to Sioux Falls in 1986. It's a great place to live!

Question 7: What would you tell someone who has never bought a vehicle at Sioux Falls Ford?

John: Sioux Falls Ford has an nice, friendly shopping envronment. There's no pressure here, and we will take the time to listen to your wants and needs. We're focused on taking care of people and we'll always put them in the car that they want.
