At Sioux Falls Ford, we're excited about the release of the much-anticipated 2024 Ford Edge. The new midsize Edge SUV is now available in five stylish trim levels — SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and the high-performance ST. With its sleek design, spacious upscale interior, innovative technology, and superb performance, the new model is sure to continue as one of the most popular SUVs in its class.

Introducing the 2024 Ford Edge

Ford introduced the Edge midsize crossover SUV in 2007, and it quickly became a firm favorite with SUV buyers thanks to its roomy cabin, flexible seating, and fun-to-drive characteristics. In the intervening years, Ford has continuously updated and improved this successful model and added new convenience and safety technologies to keep the Edge at the forefront of the midsize SUV market.

Design and Exterior

From the aggressively styled grille and bold headlights to the sporty rear end, the new Ford Edge has head-turning looks and a sleek aerodynamic profile that'll get you noticed. The performance-oriented ST-Line and ST models add unique black and color-coded styling cues, black 20-inch wheels, and model-specific badges that show off their sporting heritage.

Standard exterior features for the SE trim include intelligent access, an iconic chrome-trimmed silver honeycomb grille, bi-LED automatic headlights, configurable LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors, a body-color rear spoiler, and LED taillights. Deep-tinted rear windows help keep the interior cool and private.

Moving up the model line gets you features such as distinctive LED signature lighting, LED fog lights, heated body-color mirrors, roof rack side rails, and a power liftgate. The luxurious Titanium trim adds a touch of elegance and convenience with a chrome grille, rain-sensing wipers, 19-inch wheels, bright beltline moldings, and bright exhaust tips. You also get a hands-free liftgate and memory mirrors with approach lamps and LED turn signals.

Interior Features and Technology

Step into the Edge's spacious cabin and you'll find yourself surrounded by upmarket materials and finely crafted features. It seats up to five people, and has 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space with LED lighting. Folding down the 60/40-split rear seat backs gives you an impressive 73.4 cubic foot cargo area. The Edge SE offers comfortable and supportive cloth seats and reclining front and rear seats.

The cabin's features include push-button start, a rotary gear shift dial, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a tilt and telescoping steering column. Two configurable 4.2-inch driver displays put vehicle information where you need it. The latest SYNC 4A infotainment system has a 12-inch vertically oriented touch screen, voice recognition, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio. Helping you stay connected are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, Alexa Built-In, and a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices.

Stepping up to the SEL trim gets you simulated leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats, EasyFold rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Higher-spec models offer amenities such as remote start, driver's seat memory, ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, a 110-volt power outlet, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Performance and Engine Options

Under the hood of all Edge models, apart from the ST, is a punchy twin-scroll 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that delivers 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. A smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission transfers power to the standard all-wheel-drive system. With standard torque vectoring control, the Edge is a joy to handle on the Sioux Falls city streets or the South Dakota back roads. The base powertrain rewards you with up to 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg for highway driving.

The Edge ST features an adrenaline-fueling 2.7-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that pumps out 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque via a slick seven-speed automatic transmission. It can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. The sport-tuned suspension helps keep the handling taught and precise for an exhilarating drive. The ST returns up to 19 mpg around town and 25 mpg on the highway. Standard on the ST and available on other models is the Class II Trailer Tow Package with trailer-sway control that gives the Edge a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds.

Safety and Reliability

Helping keep you and your family safe on the road is the Edge's array of standard and available advanced safety features. All models have AdvanceTrac with roll-stability control and curve control, traction control, post-collision braking, and an SOS post-crash alert system.

The Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assistance technologies includes automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic warning, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Available features include adaptive cruise control, evasive steering, active parking assist, and a 180-degree front camera.

The 2023 Ford Edge received a maximum five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and was named a 2022 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Ford is also committed to the reliability of its vehicles, and the Edge is no exception. At Sioux Falls Ford, we give you the peace of mind of a three-year or 36,000-mile factory warranty and a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
