At Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln, we desire more than just satisfied customers, but a commitment to the community. With every dealership goal we achieve, we also have the ability to help our community.

Your support of our dealership July - September helps to supply brand new backpacks and school supplies for students this upcoming school year. Our goal: $25,000.

We are also collecting school supplies at our dealership that will all be donated to The Banquet. Have a few supplies collected? Drop them off on our donation truck located on the show floor.

The Banquet’s Project S.O.S. (Supply Our Students) is the only program of its kind in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. The Banquet has been supplying backpacks and school supplies to children of low-income families for over 30 years. Each year, over 6,000 students get help through this event.

Children who begin school with the same supplies as their peers have higher self-esteem and do better in school. They will have a brighter outlook on education despite the challenging economic conditions their families face.

INFORMATION TO KNOW
There will be 8 distribution dates this year (dates to be announced).
Taking place at The Banquet | 900 E 8th St
Registration is required and children must be present and have one form of identification to receive a backpack (such as birth certificate, social security card, school ID, library card or Medicaid card).

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
The success of Project: S.O.S. is testified by the willingness of people in our community who donate their time, money, and school supplies. Your contribution matches the thankfulness and joy of the children, parents and teachers.
  • Supply donations are accepted year-round. Bring donations directly to The Banquet Downtown, 900 E 8th Street, from 9:00 am–5:00 pm.  Please call 605.335.7066 for assistance unloading your items.
  • Monetary donations are welcome to purchase needed supplies. The Banquet is often able to purchase items at special prices. It costs The Banquet about $45 per backpack. Please indicate “School Supplies” on donations.
  • 100% cotton fabric for art bags are also needed. Canvas, denim, gender-neutral patterns or solid colors. Learn how to make them here >>
  • Donate your time. You can volunteer to check zippers on the backpacks, fill the backpacks, clean them or hand them out.
