At Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln, we will always support our military service members and their families. They are always ready at a moment’s notice to answer our nation’s call in a time of need. That is why we choose to support and spread awareness of organizations with the same heart to uplift our heroes. Folds of Honor is one of these organizations.
ONE SINGULAR, NOBLE MISSION
Folds of Honor carries forth one goal – to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members. Founded in 2007 by Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, a F-16 fighter pilot in the Air Force Reserves.
These educational scholarships support private education tuition and tutoring for children in grades K-12, as well as higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents. They have already awarded approximately 29,000 scholarships in all 50 states and some US territories.
IN THE FOLDED FLAG WE SEE THE HEAVY PRICE OF FREEDOM
Yet it’s also a symbol of hope, representing the enduring ideals that make this country a beacon of democracy. As Americans, we have the great privilege and responsibility to honor the sacrifice of America’s heroes, while giving hope to the bearers of their legacy.
