Avera’s Light the Way Campaign to build the Avera Behavioral Health Hospital addition offers a beacon of hope. As Sioux Falls Ford partners with Avera, our hope is to make the journey through mental health easier.
As this new 60,000 square foot addition opens up, it will provide help and resources to more individuals of all ages to receive inpatient behavioral health care at Avera.
For the first time, behavioral health urgent care is offered at Avera. This provides services in a crisis situation with access to care 24/7, including advanced practice providers, counselors, nursing and behavioral health techs.
The goal is to provide help to youth and those at risk in a more meaningful way. The new wing will provide
- 24/7 psychiatric urgent care
- Residential addiction care for youth
- More capacity for children and adolescents
- Partial hospitalization space for youth and adults
