A lot of exciting things happening with Lincoln lately. Here is the first 2020 Lincoln Corsair (previously MKC)! Along with a name change, it's completely redesigned for more of an aerodynamic look & feel. More room than the MKC, including adjustable 2nd row seating - which is an uncommon option to have in SUVs! 

Here are some of the amazing features of the Lincoln Corsair.

Adaptive Suspension
  • Through real-time data inputs, the adaptive suspension responds to the road and calibrates the suspension within 20 milliseconds (on average), allowing for near infinite variability of suspension response
  • Each wheel/shock responds independently of the other three, allowing it to tailor its response to a variety of road conditions
  • The adaptive suspension helps to reduce roll, pitch and vertical motion
  • It isolates the vehicle from undesired road harshness
 
Rear Integral Bush Suspension
  • 2020 Lincoln Corsair features a Rear Integral Bush Suspension. It’s a first for a Lincoln Small Premium Utility (SPU) vehicle.
  • It helps provide a comfortable and agile ride
  • It directly absorbs impacts that would otherwise be felt inside the cabin

Head-Up Display (HUD)
  • Lincoln Corsair has an available head-up display. Lincoln is the first manufacturer to use Digital Light Projection (DLP)® technology — the same technology used in digital movie theaters — in the head-up display. DLP technology allows the display to be viewed even while wearing polarized sunglasses. This system projects the information off the windshield and focuses the image near the end of the hood, approximately 7 feet (2 meters) in front of the driver.
 
Dual Wall Dash
  • It creates a “sound barrier” between the passengers and the powertrain. Luxury buyers expect a quiet cabin — free from unwanted noises that interfere with music or conversation with passengers. The Dual Wall Dash also works with the Active Noise Control feature found in Corsair to give it the quietness Clients expect from a Lincoln vehicle.
 
8-Speed Automatic Transmission with SelectShift Capability
The 8-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability gives drivers a choice between fully automatic or clutchless driver-controlled shifting. AWD models include steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Additional overdrive gears help provide highway fuel economy benefit

Active Noise Control
  • Active noise control (ANC) helps to create a tailored sound experience by reducing or canceling unwanted, low-frequency noise and enhancing specific sounds inside the cabin for a more enjoyable driving environment.
  • Active noise control uses microphones in the cabin to detect specific unwanted sounds and sends opposing sound waves through the vehicle’s speaker system to cancel unwanted low-frequency noise and refine ambient sound in the cabin
 
SOS Post-Crash Alert System
  • The SOS Post-Crash Alert System automatically flashes the hazard lights and intermittently sounds the horn after an accident where the airbag(s) deploy(s) or when a properly engaged safety belt pretensioner is activated.
  • Automatically unlocks the doors, allowing rescue workers to open them from the outside
  • Flashing the hazards and sounding the horn help make it easier to locate the vehicle if the accident happens off the roadway
 
Phone As A Key
  • This feature can replace an Intelligent Access key fob with an eligible smartphone as a virtual key and provides similar capabilities, such as unlocking and locking the doors, opening the trunk, turning the vehicle on and off remotely, as well as starting and driving the vehicle. Additionally, Phone As A Key allows up to four virtual keys to be assigned to one vehicle.
 
Perfect Position Seats
  • The 24-way seats have climate-controlled heat, ventilation, comfort and massaging features. The design inspiration behind the Perfect Position Seats comes from executive jets and high-end, luxury office chairs. This is a “form meets function” feature. Easily noticeable, the design is quite unique, with a hard back and soft cushion sections on top, signaling a receipt of luxury for Clients. Providing a sanctuary within the cabin, the Perfect Position Seats allow Clients to individualize their front-seat comfort and for different drivers, to save their perfect position into memory.
  • Controls are placed conveniently high on the door panel instead of the seat. Shaped in the design of the seat itself, controls are easy to use.

Revel Audio System with 14 Speakers Including Subwoofers
  • Uncompromising acoustics and stunning audio quality are available with the Revel® Audio System. Revel’s acclaimed performance is designed into the vehicle through the optimization of speaker placement, tuning, amplification and calibration. Revel Audio Systems are exclusive to the Lincoln Motor Company and were designed in conjunction with the vehicle itself.
  • The system includes an AM/FM stereo radio, MP3 capability, 18 station memory presets and a 6-month prepaid subscription to SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.

  • Maximum Trailer Weight Rating: 3,000 lbs. 
 
Reverse Brake Assist
  • Reverse Brake Assist integrates rear sensors and a camera to provide automatic braking if an obstacle is detected behind the vehicle.
  • The system is designed to reduce impact damage or avoid a collision completely utilizing the radar sensors on the rear bumper
  • If the system detects an obstacle behind the vehicle, it provides a message along with a warning indicator and may provide up to full braking to help avoid a collision with the obstacle
 
Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) uses radar and camera technology to scan the roadway ahead and, if a collision risk with a vehicle or pedestrian is detected, provides a warning to the driver. If the driver does not respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force, using AEB, to help reduce the severity of or even eliminate some frontal collisions. Pre-Collision Assist may help drivers avoid rear-end collisions with other vehicles at all speeds, while Pedestrian Detection can help the driver potentially avoid pedestrians at lower speeds — and may reduce the severity of forward collisions or even prevent certain forward collisions.
 
Auto High Beams
  • Auto High-Beam Headlamps provide maximum illumination in low-light situations by switching between high and low beams based upon the intensity of light in front of the vehicle.High beams are activated if no light is detected from oncoming automotive headlamps, trailing taillamps or ambient lighting. Low beams are activated if light is detected from oncoming automotive headlamps, trailing taillamps or outdoor lighting. System is designed to function in varying weather conditions, such as fog or rain, and will not activate the high beams if there is sufficient ambient lighting (street lights, for example)

Active Park Assist Plus
Active Park Assist Plus helps reduce the stress from parking by taking over the steering, shifting, braking and acceleration to navigate parallel and perpendicular parking spaces with ease.
 
Reverse Perpendicular Parking: 
  • Assists the driver in backing into a suitable, non-angled parking space
  • When a parking space is found, the system steers, shifts, accelerates and brakes the vehicle
  • The driver only needs to place the vehicle into Neutral once the spot is ready
Parallel Parking: 
  • Assists the driver with parallel parking
  • Sensors measure the distance to the curb and other parked cars
  • When a suitable spot is identified, the system will signal the driver to stop and accept the system’s assistance
  • The system shifts, accelerates, brakes and steers the vehicle
  • The driver only needs to place the vehicle into Neutral once the spot is ready
Park Out Assist:
  • Aids the driver in exiting a difficult parallel parking spot
  • The driver presses the button, and the system shifts and moves the vehicle forward and back
  • The system accelerates and/or brakes while steering the vehicle

Evasive Steering Assist
  • Evasive Steering Assist aids the driver in avoiding a collision with a slower or stopped vehicle ahead by providing a boost to the steering. This allows the driver to steer with less effort when the collision cannot be avoided by braking alone.
  • Helps reduce the risk of a rear-end collision 
  • Designed to operate at city and highway speeds
  • Detects slower-moving and stationary vehicles ahead by using a camera and radar 
  • Analyzes the gap between vehicles and classifies the risk of having a rear-end collision 
  • If the risk is high and there is insufficient space to avoid a collision by braking only, the system helps the driver steer around the obstacle
  • Provides the appropriate level of steering torque to help avoid the obstacle
  • The system only activates when all of the following occur:
  • Pre-Collision Assist detects a vehicle ahead and starts to apply active braking
  • The steering wheel is turned in an attempt to steer around the vehicle. The system applies additional steering torque to help steer around the vehicle
  • After the vehicle is passed, the system applies steering torque in the opposite direction to encourage the driver to steer back into the lane
  • The system deactivates after the vehicle is fully passed
 
360-Degree Camera With Split-View Display
  • The 360-Degree Camera with split-view display allows the driver to see what is directly in front of or behind the vehicle, including cross-traffic views. It also allows the driver to see a top-down view of the area outside the vehicle, including blind spots.
